The Musings of Mei Wan.

So my mom always talked abt liking monk, the tv show so I decided to rent a season so we could watch it. I’ve been watching season 4 of monk a good bit, and I love it. Tony Shaloub does an amazing job of playing a crazy yet truly lovable OCD detective. It’s pretty damn entertaining.

Now what I didn’t expect while watching this series is hearing one of the most romantic lines ever.

Monk had a wife, Trudy, and she died I think. He was talking about her and he said, when I met Trudy, I knew the reason why I was here. I would wake up in the morning everyday and I fell in love with her all over again.

I have no clue why, but that line was so romantic to me, more than ‘You’re the light of my life’ or ‘I couldn’t live without you’ or whatever else you usually hear in movies or read in books. And yes, i know that wasn’t a real line, i know some writer thought of it and put it in the script. But i’m sure someone out there feels that way about someone else!

I felt so warm and fuzzy inside when i heard it. The idea that someone could make another feel that way is unbelievable yet magical.

Speaking of romance, I’ve never been the hopeless romantic type but I think one of the most romantic things is a wedding. There’s something about connecting two people who truly love each other together that strikes a chord with me. I love creative proposals too. hahas.

Basically, her boyfriend knew his girlfriend was a faithful reader of Bakerella and knew that she checked the blog every Sunday when it got updated. So he contacted the blogger and asked for her help.
